Sites Geolocation API Guide

This API enables your system to query the Liquid network for site and POP information. query for sites near a geo-location, the geo-location can be specified either by longitude and latitude or by postal address.

Sign up and registration

As a start you can use the API's page to test and get mocked API responses.


In order to start making use of the API service you will need to sign up and be registered. Provide your details on the sign up form and our API team will contact you to take you through sign up and provide authentication and subscriptions details.

Site types

At present only the Liquid Global POP's are supported by the API. This will be extended to include Liquid's metro sites and other connected buildings.

Locations, sites, and addresses

Specify a location and the API will use geo-mapping to determine if Liquid has site in that country.

Optionally supply a location and a maximum distance, and the API will return any sites that are within the distance specified.

Finally there is the option to ask for all sites.

Locations can be referred to by:

  • Geographic address Use street, city, country fields to specify the address.

  • Longitude and Latitude. Use geocoding to specify the location.

  • Site ID, Name Every liquid site has unique identifier. You can query for all sites to get the siteId's and locations of the sites. The other API's support referring to sites by SiteId.

Error and failure handling

If a query cannot find any matching sites either an empty list is returned or a HTTP 404 error.
